The point of view of this project comes from my personal impressions as part of an identical twin couple. In constant search for individuality in the dual, I find myself depicting the dynamics of the pre-assigned relationship, and discover issues of control and leadership. My challenge is to express this reality through my choice of fabric and design. Dominance verses weakness, this relationship comes to life in the way fabrics connect and integrate with each other, where different tensions are portrayed through stretch and release as I sculpture in the fabric. I use primary colors that are taken from the pallet of childhood games; the colors are vivid and playful, as are the designs, which go back and forth between unity and separation.
